A nation without borders is not a nation. While I realize that the South Carolina Legislature has little to do with the direct enforcement of our immigration, I have and will continue to support those bills that encourage local and state cooperation with federal authorities, thus lessening the dangerous consequences of unfettered immigration. That's why I supported H4496, an enhancement of our policy against sanctuary cities. I do support legal immigration and will work to create a South Carolina where native-born and immigrant and prosper.
